Mossley Hill Athletic club is a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and provides facilities for the promotion and participation of the whole community in amateur sport – and the provision of social and recreational facilities for its members. The club has an open membership policy and welcomes new sporting members for archery, cricket, crown green bowling, football, hockey, rugby, running and tennis, ‘irrespective of need or social standing’.
Sunflowers is an independent charity which supports cancer patients, survivors and carers in Merseyside. By providing a unique support service to individuals and families affected by a cancer diagnoses in the Merseyside region. Sunflowers provide counselling, complementary therapies, art and craft therapies and exercise classes in a welcoming and safe environment. Activities are aimed to:
· Help people affected by cancer avoid social isolation
· Help those affected by cancer stay physically active.
· Help those affected by cancer to maintain or improve their mental health and wellbeing.
Matters Now (CMN) provides information, advice and personal support to those
affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevus (CMN!), a type of birthmark that may
appear in newborn babies. The
support group has three main aims which are: to
support those affected by CMN, to raise awareness of CMN and to raise funds for CMN research
Liverpool Rotary Club is based within the heart of Liverpool's business district and has supported those in need in Liverpool and the surrounding areas, as well as internationally since its foundation over 100 years ago.
